Jinmei Huayu's 1 million tons of methanol per year unit was successfully started up recently. The unit uses aerospace gasification to produce raw gas, and the conversion section adopts a high CO and low water gas isothermal sulfur-resistant conversion process. The catalyst uses a patented product of Qingdao Lianxin Catalytic Materials Co., Ltd. When the catalyst is used under process conditions with a CO content greater than 60% and a water-gas ratio of about 0.4, the methane content at the outlet of the conversion unit is less than 0.09%. This has better solved the problem of methanogenic side reactions under high CO raw gas and low water gas conditions.
