In October 2005, QDB-04 catalyst was successfully applied in the first domestic high-pressure partial deep shift methanol production unit---in Yanzhou Guotai Chemical Co., Ltd. Yanzhou Guotai Chemical Co., Ltd. has an annual production capacity of 240,000 tons of methanol and is the first methanol plant in China to use domestically independently innovative gasification technology. Since the new gasification unit was started for the first time, the process conditions often fluctuated and the start-up and shutdown were very frequent. After experiencing the test of frequent start-up and shutdown, the QDB series catalyst currently has good performance and can still meet the requirements of a 30% increase in load, which has been well received by users.
