Low water-gas ratio shift process successfully used in "aerospace furnace"

Operation shows that methanol production from process gas with high CO and water content is completely feasible

This newspaper (Reporter Zhang Xinggang) As of yesterday, my country's first low water-gas ratio shift process "Aerospace Furnace" device has been running smoothly for 10 days at Anhui Linquan Chemical Co., Ltd., realizing the production of methanol from process gas with high CO and water content under low water-gas ratio shift process conditions. This marks a major step forward in my country's coal-to-methanol technology.

According to reports, Anhui Linquan Chemical Co., Ltd. has built a 150,000-ton methanol unit using the "Aerospace Furnace" technology designed and developed by Beijing Aerospace Coal Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. with independent intellectual property rights and the pulverized coal gasification-low water-gas ratio sulfur-resistant shift methanol production process developed by Qingdao Lianxin Chemical Co., Ltd. The unit was officially put into production on November 2, and all indicators of the methanol produced met the standards. Ten days of industrial operation showed that it is completely feasible to produce methanol from process gas with high CO and water content by using the QDB-04 catalyst produced by Qingdao Lianxin Chemical Company and adjusting the water-gas ratio to control the reaction depth and bed hotspot temperature. When the load is 50%, the bed hotspot temperature does not exceed 400℃; the operation is stable, the indicators are easy to adjust, and there is no methanogenic side reaction during the conversion process.

According to reports, the "aerospace furnace" is the HT-L pulverized coal pressurized gasification furnace, which is designed using the technology of aerospace rocket engines and the principle of thermal field calculation. It is a major special project for the industrialization of high-tech circular economy during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" determined by the National Development and Reform Commission, and is also a national coal chemical industry demonstration project. Since the CO content in the gas produced by HT-L pulverized coal pressurized gasification is as high as 60%, and the water-gas ratio is 1.1, the segmentation of the conversion reaction, the control of the reaction depth and the bed hotspot temperature are the key to the successful operation of the device. To this end, the technical personnel of Anhui Linquan Chemical Co., Ltd., Beijing Aerospace Coal Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Lianxin Chemical Co., Ltd. have repeatedly demonstrated and communicated from the selection and formulation of the conversion process plan to the on-site catalyst loading, temperature rise sulfidation and raw gas connection, and have conceived and implemented a number of methods and measures to prevent the bed from overheating. Finally, they decided to use the method of adjusting the water-gas ratio in the raw gas to control the reaction depth and the hot spot temperature of the bed. The "Aerospace Furnace" gasification conversion device is another industrial device that uses a low water-gas ratio conversion process after the Shell Furnace low water-gas ratio ammonia and methanol production devices.
